Low-Poly Glaceon

What was intended to be a practice model, to get me used to using Maya again, spiraled into a larger project to experiment modelling and texturing techniques with, and even teach myself some deeper rigging. The model and animations have been done for a couple months now, but I held off on uploading until I had reacquired Marmoset, so I could get some nice renders.

The model's proportions are referenced directly from the one used in official Pokemon titles, but is otherwise made completely from scratch by myself.

Has two textures, one for Glaceon's base colours, and one for its Shiny colours. Most renders are using the Shiny colouration, simply because I think they look better.

This model has the most in-depth rig I've ever made. I had to teach myself a lot of things for this, including IKs, FK/IK switchs, the Maya node editor and blend shapes. It was complicated, but honestly rather fun. I've included a short video going over the rig just because of how proud of it I am
I couldn't quite get the head IK's to move how I wanted however. I'm not quite sure how it should be set up, and it's definitely something to look into more for the future.

I'm very proud of how this model turned out, and I can't wait to get the rest of my game-art programs back to get deeper into modelling again.
